THE N.M. MASTER SHIELD RETURNS TO THE SCHOOL ON THE HILL!

The 56th edition of the N.M. Master Elocution and Speech Contest was hosted by Mount Hermon School today. This contest goes back 56 long years and is one of the most prestigious and passionately contested Anglo-Indian School events in the Hills.
The four participating schools were- Loreto Convent, Mount Hermon School, St. Paul's School and St. Joseph's-North Point.
North Point won Gold in the Junior and Extemporaneous Divisions represented by Sarthak Sen and Arogya Gurung respectively. We also managed to get a Silver in the Senior Division represented by Advay Thapa. Atulya Raj Syangden, who represented us in the Intermediate Division put in a brillaint performance with his piece-'Friend from Hell'. This medal tally took us to the top and once again, for the second consecutive year, the Shield sits proudly in the Hall of Fame!
Congratulations to the boys for putting up a show-stopping performance. Kudos to Mr. Andre Lefevre( Vice-Principal), Mr.Richard Pakhrin and Mr. Francis Vairung for training the winning team.
A special shout-out to Fr. Rector-Fr. Stanley Varghese who personally sat through some of the practice sessions and provided the contestants with some event-winning inputs.
Thanks to Mount Hermon School for being such generous and gracious hosts.
